ANTI-CHILD LABOUR
Millions of children around the world are trapped in child labour, depriving them of their childhood, their health and education, and condemning them to a life of poverty and want. Recent global estimates based on data of UNICEF, the ILO and the World Bank indicate that 168 million children aged 5 to 17 are engaged in child labour. In ITG, we follow the laws and regulations in accordance with Children and Young Persons (Employment) Act 1966 to protect the children.
ANTI-HUMAN TRAFFICKING
As Malaysia is a popular destination amongst migrant workers for economic reasons or as a transit country, these vulnerable groups are susceptible to becoming victims of sexual and labour trafficking. In ITG, we are against human trafficking and smuggling of migrants in accordance with Anti-Trafficking in Persons and Anti-Smuggling of Migrants Act 2007.
